What's new in HomeAssistant 2025.11
What's New in Home Assistant 2025.11: Target Picker, Smarter Automations, and a New Energy “Pie Chart”
1. New Target Picker
Have you ever wondered which “ceiling lamp” your automation is actually controlling? The new target picker clearly shows which element or area you’re selecting — including devices and rooms. You can also expand an area/floor to see a list of all entities affected by that action.
Thanks to this, automations are much more flexible and easier to maintain — when you add or remove a device, the automation updates automatically.

2. Completely Redesigned Dialog for Triggers, Conditions, and Actions
The automation editor has received a redesigned dialog for adding triggers, conditions, and actions. The new interface is clearer, larger, and centralizes all block types in one place — fewer buttons, faster work, and simpler navigation even for complex automations.

3. Customizing Entity Names on the Dashboard
From this version on, you can choose exactly how entity names appear on dashboard cards — just the entity, the device, the area, or a combination of several details. Once you rename something, it automatically updates everywhere on the dashboard without manual editing.

4. Energy Pie Chart
A new way to display device consumption using a pie chart — under the energy overview, you can easily switch between the classic bar and pie view. For energy enthusiasts: each energy card now includes a total value for the selected period directly in the chart corner.

5. Update Progress Overview (Core and Add-ons)
When updating Home Assistant or its Add-ons in Supervisor, you’ll now see progress in percentages, including downloading and installation, giving you a better overview of how long the process will take.

6. New Integrations
Several new integrations have been added:
- Actron Air – control of air conditioners of this brand
- Sunricher DALI – monitoring and control of lighting via DALI
- Fing – network scanner and device detection
- Firefly III – personal finance
- iNELS, Lunatone Gateway, Meteo.lt, Nintendo Parental Controls, OpenRGB and more...
7. Improvements to Existing Integrations

- Portainer allows container control via buttons/switches/sensors
- Volvo can display car location and control it
- Shelly now supports air conditioners and valves
- Reolink recognizes person/vehicle types and now also bicycles
And many more improvements across dozens of integrations.
8. Other Useful Updates
- Smarter Home Dashboard: favorites and suggested entities, clearer floor-based organization
- More efficient logging — logs no longer waste SD card space or storage lifespan
- Faster searching in tables across multiple columns
- Support for … valve groups, dashboard backgrounds, and external integrations
9. Removed and Discontinued Integrations
The following integrations have been removed from Home Assistant:
- Vultr (API discontinued)
- IBM Watson IoT Platform
- Plum Lightpad (service discontinued)
10. Breaking Changes
